Mediation and Evolving Worldviews
At a time where polarization is heightened, taking larger, more inclusive perspectives is not only helpful but necessary. In this session, we will invite you into a powerful experience that can shift our options as mediators and conflict practitioners while working with groups threatened by identity differences.
We’ll guide you through the Evolving Worldview’s process, a tour of the four key worldviews: egocentric, ethnocentric, worldcentric, and kosmocentric.
- You’ll learn about the genius and limitations of each worldview, and be able to bring a more integral perspective when navigating and including the experiences present for the people you work with.
- You will understand that with each shift in worldview, another aspect of reality comes into view, which grows our capacity to work with complexity in conflict situations.
- You will appreciate how the tension between worldviews can foster growth.
