Join two meditation masters for a week of retreat in the red rock country of Southern Utah. Cultivate a stronger, more disciplined meditation practice and explore the natural interplay of body, breath, and mind. Whether you are new to sitting meditation or have years of experience, the emphasis on technique, relaxation, and enjoyment will serve your practice.

Sitting meditation (zazen) can support well-being and growth over a lifetime. But it takes practice and helpful instruction to bring about a lifetime of practice. This retreat will focus on the fundamentals of sitting:

  • Finding strength and relaxation in posture
  • Breathing to harmonize body and mind
  • Including the capacity to feel
  • Opening to experience dimensions of the mind of meditation including:
    • Shoshin – Beginners Mind
    • Zanshin – Sustained Mindfulness
    • Mushin – No Mind
    • Fudomyo – Immovable mind
    • Daishin – Big Mind
